HOW TO WRITE SHORT STORIES



This class will guide you through short story writing. You will learn the terminology used in the field as we focus on the short story and short fiction genres, including science fiction, fantasy, mystery and westerns. Also covered: story ideas, the writer's style or "voice," limited marketplace, and the art versus craft of story telling. Famous short stories will be studied as you work on writing your own. Your Emmy-winning instructor has been a professional creative writer for 25 years. His writing credits include Quigley Down Under, Quantum Leap, LA Law and Griffin and Phoenix.
